For over 35 years, MCA has successfully served major owner/occupant clients who trust us to meet their needs year after year. We always begin and end with the same “radical” goal – to find and then deliver exactly the Right Thing for each project.

The Right Thing varies greatly between our clients and each project. So finding just the Right Thing requires committing to the no-shortcuts search for that appropriate balance between the many needs, aspirations, and limitations that define each challenge.

Design excellence, responsiveness, accuracy, efficiency, collaboration, and a celebration of different viewpoints, ideas, and backgrounds – these are what drives us. And we think we do it pretty well. Fully 97% of our projects are commissioned by repeat clients – the only accolade that matters.

Responsiveness + Range

With one of the hallmarks of our firm being service and responsiveness, the vast number of our projects have been within a few hours drive from one of our Mid-Atlantic locations. From there, within a reasonable amount of time, we can be on site to meet with our clients, to deal directly with emerging issues or to verify existing conditions.

On occasion, we have gone much farther at the request of our clients. For projects throughout the United States, to Puerto Rico, Mexico, Nigeria, and Abu Dhabi – even “classified” sites with locations unknown – we have provided the responsive design service necessary to meet our clients’ challenges.

MCA’s architectural practice is a multidisciplinary set of professional services that support the evolving demands placed on our clients. Beyond a talent for design, our architectural team possesses a wide range of specialized expertise and accreditations: from LEAN building and evidence-based design, to biophilic design, building envelope technology, BIM computer modeling, simulated reality, and sustainable design – not to mention the thought leadership needed within our sectors of expertise.

Our practice continues to add to and enhance the specialized knowledge base and skillsets necessary to meet the challenges of our client’s unique environments. Above all, we provide strong leadership to leverage meaningful results from the diverse resources MCA has available.
