Thank you to Loyola University Maryland for allowing our Sustainable Design and Practice committee to visit the new Miguel B. Fernandez Center for Innovation and Collaborative Learning building (which is anticipating LEED Gold certification) for a recent tour. It is exciting to see how the University is promoting green building practices on their historic campus, with this new facility encouraging students to innovate, learn, collaborate and propel their careers forward.
Our committee continues to reflect on the future of sustainable design and what we will continue to create: sustainable spaces that benefit the wellness of people and the environment in which they inhabit. We continue to explore better way to achieve our goals and, for example, are already updating our proprietary MCA | GreenTalk™ design tool to respond to the anticipated release of LEED V.4.1 in the near future.
