Maryland School For The Blind Wins Award

MCA is pleased to announce that the Early Learning Center at Maryland School for the Blind has earned the Excellence in Construction Award from ABC Baltimore.

This building provides integrative instruction for children from infancy through five years old who are blind or visually impaired, including students with multiple disabilities. This transformative project has been enthusiastically received by the staff, teachers, students and their families as a state-of-the-art facility well suited to serving the unique needs of the students and faculty now and into the future. Congratulations to the talented MCA team who made this project come to life.

The next phase of Maryland School for the Blind’s expansion will be Newcomer, Case, Campbell Halls which will include three buildings that provide space for the early learning (three to five-year-olds) and academic blind program elementary, middle, and high school programs. This next phase is presently under construction, and MCA anticipates the completion of this phase in 2020.
