MCA Welcomes New Marketing Coordinator and Proposal Writer

By Olivia Jacobson-McKelvie, Associate Principal

Sarah Stewart is a graduate in Architecture from Philadelphia University. With a diverse work history, Sarah has amassed a portfolio of experience that will serve her well in this new role.

After some time working in a traditional architecture role here in Baltimore, Sarah joined Lewis Contractors where she served as in-house BIM and LEED Coordinator and, later, as a Lead Project Engineer. Coincidentally, Sarah worked on several MCA projects during her time with Lewis including the Decker Center for McDaniel College and on two recently completed projects for the Maryland School for the Blind—the $15M Preschool and Early Learning Center Renovation and the $34M renovations and additions to Newcomer, Case, and Campbell Halls.

Through this experience, Sarah has developed a well-rounded knowledge of the AEC industry—skills complemented by strong creative and technical writing abilities and a talent for architectural graphics and programs. While working remotely for a year abroad with Remote Year, Sarah wrote her own personal travel blog and, more recently,  even launched her own high coverage swimwear line—conducting market research, designing apparel, developing branding, furthering business development, and ultimately connecting with manufacturers for small-batch manufacturing and distribution.

Sarah is looking forward to joining the MCA Team and combining her architectural design and technical background with her creative side in writing, visual presentation, marketing, and branding.

Please join us in welcoming Sarah to the MCA team!
