NPS Across the US

By Stephen Bates, AIA, NCARB, President

On the calendar for the beginning of March?  Our next round of project scoping assessments for the National Park Service!

As architects for the FEA team, our work for 2020 expands beyond the Western parts of the country (Alaska, Pacific West and Intermountain NPS Regions) to incorporate all the remaining NPS regions of the U.S.

The month begins with several days at Manassas National Battlefield (MANA) for scoping assessments for the rehabilitation of both the Henry Hill Visitors Center and the Law Enforcement Facility.

Next up, a visit to the Clara Barton House National Historic Site at George Washington National Parkway (GWNP) to develop the project scoping assessment for a complete rehabilitation of the historic building, the home of the founder of the American Red Cross, and restore it to its historic period of significance.

Finally, a visit to Catoctin Mountain Park (CATO) in Maryland, for scoping assessments for the rehabilitation of the Visitors Center.

We can’t wait to get started!
