Johns Hopkins University Government and Community Affairs Office

Johns Hopkins University | Baltimore, Maryland

MCA created modern, state-of-the-art office space for the Government and Community Affairs Department of Johns Hopkins University in the former Eastern High School building on 33rd Street, approximately one mile from the JHU’s Homewood campus. The interior renovation project involved the complete gut and rebuild of nearly 10,000 square feet on the third floor of the existing building. The location and large existing windows provide sweeping views of the rowhouse neighborhoods to the north, and to the south, the view extends to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Complimenting the views and abundant natural light is a clean interior design aesthetic that makes extensive use of glass partitions to allow light to pass into the office interior and provides excellent visibility throughout the space.
