MCA designed the renovation of Shore Regional Health System’s outpatient facility that houses Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory Services, and Rehabilitation Services in order to accommodate the incorporation of a Comprehensive Breast Center.

The design renovates 17,800 SF of the 20,200 SF facility and includes 1,500 SF of additional new construction. Modalities added and renovated in the diagnostic imaging suite include radiographic imaging, CT scan, MR imaging and ultrasound. This facility handles a large patent volume, second only to the main hospital facility.

The existing building, built and first occupied by the hospital 20 years ago, also required modernization of the exterior facade. The final design of this facility improved the aging infrastructure, utilizes existing and new imaging services to support the breast health program, and creates a synergy with the programs located in the adjacent Oncology Center building.
