MCA provided full A-E design services for the demolition and reconstruction of Building A69 at the Naval Research Laboratory to house materials testing facilities including a Glass Fiber Draw Tower Lab, an Ion Beam Accelerator Lab, a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) Lab, and a Materials Synthesis / Mechanical Testing High Bay space. Additional new building elements include high bay areas, a second floor for the Draw Tower Lab, fume hoods, and overhead coiling doors with loading docks. Also, the Draw Tower Lab, Accelerator Lab, and TEM Lab are designed for future conversion into clean rooms.
