UMMC’s Pediatric Hybrid OR was one of the first of its kind. While hybrid OR’s are no longer unique, UMMC wanted to take its new Adult Hybrid OR concept to a higher level of interoperability by integrating the Intuitive DaVinci Robot Systems into the technology profile of the room. Constrained by parameters of the existing building, the A/E team guided the hospital through a series of mock-up rooms in order to determine the best operational layout.
