By Utku Akbulut, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, Principal

MCA is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the design services for the renovation of Centennial Hall for American University in Washington, D.C. Centennial Hall is an eight-story student residence hall originally constructed in 1987 and will be the third significant residence hall renovation MCA will complete for the University. The building consists of resident suite layouts, with two rooms, a bathroom, and kitchenette per suite, administrative spaces, resident lounges, laundry rooms, storage rooms, and study rooms. The renovation will include design modifications to the existing resident lounges, kitchen, laundry, and study rooms, as well as reconfiguration of the HVAC systems in the modified areas. We are happy to continue our relationship with American University and look forward to this upcoming project!
