Jasmine Purnell and Paul Riley are Promoted to Officers/Vice Presidents of MCA

By Stephen Bates, AIA, NCARB, President

MCA’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the promotion of Paul Van Riley, AIA and Jasmine Purnell as Officers/Vice Presidents of the Company.

When Paul Riley, AIA joined MCA, he was impressed with the firm’s adhesion to our mission to always “Do the right thing” and wished to contribute. A talented, and well-rounded professional, Paul now plays a major role in all aspects of the firm’s design, operation, and management and is contributing to our ongoing expansion. With degrees from the University of Florida—including a Masters of Architecture—Paul has more than 30 years of experience in the practice of Architecture and is well-equipped to meet success in this new role. Prior to joining MCA, Paul co-founded his own successful award-winning architectural practice—valuable experience that serves both him and the company well as he moves into his newly enhanced role with MCA.

With a BS in Business Administration—and a Master’s degree to follow!—Jasmine Purnell has led the corporation’s finance department since 2015 and will now serve as MCA’s Vice President and Treasurer.  Primarily responsible for the execution of the firm’s financial and accounting functions, over the years, Jasmine’s contributions have extended to support the management of MCA’s comprehensive employee benefits program as well as general office management.  She is recognized far beyond the four walls of our office for her knowledge and acumen, work ethic, reliability, and ability to overcome challenges. We applaud Jasmine for all of her successes at MCA to date and look forward to seeing her continue to flourish in this expanded role.

Both Jasmine and Paul have gained the deep respect of the current Officers and Board, as well as the respect of our clients, leadership and staff. The Board believes that both Paul and Jasmine have demonstrated the strong character, level-headed and objective demeanor, sound professional judgment, vision, enthusiasm, and capabilities needed to fill these challenging roles.

Please join us in congratulating both Jasmine and Paul for this significant achievement in their careers!
