Alan has been practicing in all aspects of architectural design and responsibility, primarily as a Project Architect, for a wide range of project types and clients. Alan joined Marshall Craft Associates in 2000 and has served as Senior Project Manager of MCA’s Academic Studio.

Alan’s professional background shows his dedication to providing the finest service and results for MCA clients. Since joining MCA, he has managed many multi-year, multi-phased projects as well as several LEED Gold and Silver accredited projects. A few of his projects have also involved buildings on the National Historic Register and in National Historic Districts.

Alan’s expertise goes beyond architectural design. Since 1985, he has been actively involved in implementing CAD software in architecture. He’s also gained substantial experience in 3-D modeling and BIM. His technological expertise has given him opportunities to serve on MCA’s BIM/Office Standards Committee as well as the committee responsible for directing the firm’s AIA award-winning Education and Training Program. Throughout these committee roles, Alan maintains the goal of providing the best service to MCA clients with improved office productivity and training.

His academic experience also extends to his role serving on the committee that established the State of Maryland School Classroom Acoustic Standards and authoring the Maryland County school facility design standards.
