By Stephen Bates, AIA, NCARB, President
Please join us in celebrating MCA’s promotions this fall! Our Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the elevation of two highly qualified team members: Veronica Plischke (AIA) to the role of Senior Associate and John Hahn (AIA) to the role of Associate.
Veronica has skillfully designed and managed projects across each of MCA’s industry sectors—from Higher Ed to Healthcare—but she will tell you her passion lies with Museum and Cultural Projects design. During her time at MCA, Veronica has had the opportunity to serve as Project Manager/Architect with several renowned museum institutions such as the Baltimore Museum of Art, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and Harvard University’s Dumbarton Oaks. She also has completed several high-profile facility assessments and conceptual designs for the National Park Service around the country. Veronica continues to make significant contributions to MCA’s design quality through managing our award-winning Education and Training program.
John has applied his talents to many projects in the Higher Ed and Government sectors, with representative design work at institutions including American University, Johns Hopkins University, McDaniel College, and the Naval Research Laboratories. He is currently managing a complex defense R&D laboratory project for the Naval Research Laboratories in Washington, DC. John recently achieved certification in Construction Documents Technology (CDT) in May 2022. Motivated by his deep understanding of how design can safeguard and improve our lives, John brings insight, purpose, and professionalism to each project he touches.
